The Nepalese Cultural Centre NZ Inc held their 3rd annual “Multi- Ethnic Dance Festival 2018” on Saturday 25th August 2018, at the Te Atatu Peninsula Community Centre. It was a multicultural dance festival, that was filled with more than 10 different ethnic dance performances from all over Auckland. Members from the Nepalese communities worked together to put on a beautiful show that represented the essence of New Zealand, a country that is filled with diversity. New policy announced by Immigration NZ in Aug 2018

Recently Immigration has announced some changes in policy for student visa (existing and new) and post study work visa holders which can be said nothing but welcoming. The basic underlying purpose for announcing this policy is to save students from being exploited by Employers. New Students As per the new policy, the new students applying for Bachelor’s degree programme (Level 7) will get a three year open work visa irrespective of their place of study (Auckland or anywhere else in NZ). All other students who will enrol for study in Graduate Diploma Level 7 or Level 4-6 will get 1-year open job search visa if they study in Auckland and 3-year open job search visa if they study out of Aucklan

An Interactive session on Immigration was conducted by Team Legal Associates for Nepalese Community in Auckland at Freemen’s Bay Community Hall on 25th on August 2018. Unlawful for 17 years- S61 case Our firm recently dealt with a Samoan client who has been living unlawfully in New Zealand for 17 years. Even though she contacted several Immigration Advisors/Lawyers in an attempt to obtain a Work Visa, the applications were not accepted and/or declined by Immigration New Zealand. We lodged a S61 request with INZ as we believed that her case was genuine and she was a in a stable partnership with her NZ citizen husband.
