Recently, our staff lawyers, Dikhush Surani, Joseph Chen and Geetha Arun Thayaparan were enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand under the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006. Every year Nepalese women married or single, take on the challenge of fasting for their husband or husband to be, and their long life. “Teej” is a festival that is widely celebrated across all the different cultural groups in Nepal. Like every year Legal Associates was invited to sponsor the New Zealand Nepalese Association’s Teej festival on September 8th 2018. It was a nice experience representing Legal Associates at Khukuri Night on 22 September 2018, was an annual event organised by Football Club Khukuri Incorporated with New Zealand Nepal Society to award the football players for their best performance and who showed a true sportsmanship. More than 300 guest encouraged football players for their rewards. It was a full of entertainment night, a singer sang a Nepali song with guitar made the crowd mad. Legal Associates hosts MP Mr Simeon Brown at Paptoetoe office.

Legal Associates hosted the Honourable MP Mr Simeon Brown for a morning tea with the partners and other employees of the firm, in September 2018. Mr Raj Singh welcomed the MP who was then given a tour of the firm by Mr Haseeb Ashraf. All members of the firm then met at the boardroom where Mr Raj Singh again thanked the Honourable MP for his visit. Legal Associates proudly sponsored ‘Dekh Dhamala Pendiyaan’ by Pal Productions on 22/09/2018 at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau. This was the first ever Bhangra competition in New Zealand which hosted participants from India. This show includes singers such as Himmat Sandhu, Sajjan Adeeb and bhangra performers from India.
