Empowered Women – is society ready?

NZICA Annual Women’s Conference 2019 organized by the New Zealand Indian Central Association was held on Saturday, 19th October 2019 at the newly built Diversity Centre of the Indian association, Papatoetoe, Manukau under the theme of “Empowered Women – is society ready?” where more than 150 delegates, mostly women were participated from different sectors in the society. Among the Chief Guests were Minister of ethnic Affairs, Hon. Changes to Immigration Policies: Work Visas

Immigration NZ announced the long-awaited temporary work visa changes in September 2019. Most of the changes that INZ are planning will affect employers more than migrant workers and will not happen until 2021. These changes are not very impressive to migrant communities. The most effected people from these changes will be small to medium size business employers and their employees. Immigration NZ has planned to replace with a system based only on the pay rate of the job for the duration and skill level of a visa. Legal Associates was invited for the ANZ Home loan Masterclass session conducted on Saturday, 12th October 2019 and it was represented by the Partner, Ashima Singh, together with the Legal Assistant Yasodara Kodithuwakku.
